Garden of Humanity

In every moment, life offers you a gift. Sometimes, it comes wrapped in the warmth of a child, letting you know that she has roses for you to pick. What we might label as prosperity does not reveal itself easily in this corner of the world, and yet, joy and giving and community overflow like a current running downstream. I’m drawn to that simplicity of being – to what it means to live open-heartedly, unafraid of lacking what we externally seek. Her home was nestled in the vastness of Haiti’s mountains, safely tucked beneath the silence of untouched dreams – a tangle of roots in the garden of humanity. This is why we’re here, to be shaped by the kindness of others and, in return, to offer our own healing as the doorway to a shared destiny.
